Infographics are one of the more sophisticated forms of visual content, as they present complex information quickly and clearly, breaking it down into an easily understandable format.
Not only do infographics tell a story but more importantly, they also guide the audience towards a particular conclusion by shaping an opinion about the subject. This is the biggest difference between information which is presented in a text format and infographics.
In this month’s blog post, we take a look at three infographic examples from the temperature monitor industry that we feel have really succeeded in getting their message across.
In this first example, TE Connectivity has succeeded in displaying the different types of temperature sensors in a visual way. It allows us, the reader, to get a good idea of the differences, based on four important factors:
- Operating range
- Key performance indicators
At a glance, we get a really good idea of the differences between the various temperature sensors. It’s a fabulous example of a topic which can be very difficult to get an audience’s attention and retention on!
Our second example of great infographic depiction is from www.nimblewireless.com.
Here, they have successfully shown the journey of assets through the cold chain, from manufacturing to store, highlighting the different temperature ranges at various points. The statistics on the right side of the infographic give three key statistics which draw us to the conclusion of the vital importance of temperature monitoring in the mega billion-dollar logistics industry. Our third example is this depiction of how pharmaceutical companies are allocating their cold chain budget. This is based on a survey done by Pharma IQ Cool Chain Europe (www.coolchaineurope.com).
It clearly depicts how much and in what areas investment will be made, and what the critical factors are that pharma companies consider in choosing a logistics partner. Although it was published seven years ago, this depiction is extremely clear and gives cold chain logistics companies an inside track on how to satisfy the needs of their market.
